US Doris Hits the Bingo Jackpot after Winning RSI claim.

A compulsive USA bingo player says she has repetitive strain injury (RSI) in both hands from playing too much bingo. She threatened to sue the bingo hall where she plays at in the USA and for fear of bad publicity the bingo company has settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

A spokesperson for the bingo operator made this comment. “We had a complaint from Mrs. Funnyhand and we have dealt with the matter fairly”. She continued “Mrs. Funnyhand is one of our best bingo customers, she plays 34 bingo cards at one time and up to 64 bingo games a day, every day except Sunday’s when she goes to church, for the church raffle. Her hand injuries have been attributed to the repetitive action of daubing the bingo cards. Although we take no responsibility for her injuries, Blingo, Bringo, Bingo Ltd. made the decision to pay Mrs. Funnyhand a confidential payment in respect of her valued custom.”

When we asked Mrs. Funnyhand, first name Doris, what she might do with the $50,000 paid by Blingo, Bringo, Bingo she replied. “You know it has been very difficult for me. I have been playing bingo, six out of seven days since I was six years old.” Doris, 63, continued, “Because of the injuries which stop me from grasping anything, I now have to take my husband to the bingo and use a long stick to point to the bingo cards which have the number called on. Over fifty times now I have poked my husband in the ear and to be quite honest, I think he’s getting sick of it.” We tried to ask her husband if this was indeed true but Doris said he was getting deaf in his old age.

Doris continued “So I think I’ll use the money to buy a computer, take a computer course, buy a special mouth operated mouse and sign up for online bingo.
